In preparation for supporting Niagara 5 within the iSMA CONTROLLI ecosystem, and with the availability of its successor, MAC36PRO, we are initiating a planned product phase-out. We hereby announce the end-of-life (EOL) plan for the MAC36NL product line, with the Last Time Buy (LTB) period starting on 1st of August 2026. During this period, pricing will be aligned with MAC36PRO, and the product will be available until 31st of December 2026 or while stock lasts.
We remain fully committed to supporting existing installations. Software updates for MAC36NL within the Niagara 4 framework will continue through the end of 2028.
Looking ahead, iSMA CONTROLLI is actively participating in the Early Access Niagara 5 User Group. As part of this initiative, we are committed to delivering full Niagara 5 support
on the MAC36PRO, which serves as a direct replacement for MAC36NL. It maintains the same form factor, licensing model, I/O configuration, and interfaces, ensuring a seamless transition.
Starting 1st of August 2026, a software transition policy will be introduced to facilitate seamless license transfers between MAC36NL and MAC36PRO during future replacements. More details will be provided soon.
In addition, MAC36PRO, next to the new powerful hardware, introduces several enhancements designed to accelerate commissioning and improve remote management capabilities, including:
- Built-in WireGuard VPN client and LTE connectivity for secure remote access
- IP over USB for simplified local connectivity
- Integrated Device Configuration Web Server for faster commissioning and troubleshooting
- High-performance quad-core processor with 16 GB storage and 2 GB RAM
- Full Niagara Framework stack with support for the latest features and readiness
for Niagara 5.
