As announced in our previous MAC36NL End-of-Life communication, the software transition policy for moving from MAC36NL to MAC36PRO is now effective as of August 2026. The new policy is designed to support a smooth transition for existing MAC36NL installations when replacement with a MAC36PRO controller is required.

New License Migrator.

To facilitate the transition, a new Product Code is available: 07412 iSMA-B-LIC-CHG-MAC.
This new part allows the existing MAC36NL software license to be migrated to MAC36PRO for an equivalent license model. An active SMA and a new iSMA-B-SD-PRO card is required to perform the license migration.

Supporting your customers through the transition.

MAC36NL remains supported within the Niagara 4 through the end of 2028, allowing existing installations to continue operating while customers plan their transition to MAC36PRO. We recommend the new license migration option when planning MAC36NL retrofit projects and advise partners to maintain an active SMA to ensure eligibility for the migration.
